One of my staples this week has been this super cute beach shirt that I actually made myself! I had such a fun time getting to design my own shirt with Uber Prints, I honestly was not sure that I could do it when they first approached me about trying it out but the process was surprisingly simple!
Happy Monday! Anyone else get out today and watch the eclipse?? We all were able to take a look today at work and it was cooler than I expected! I was waiting for the sun to be fully covered and then realized that we in Sacramento were not going to have that happen for us…oh well!
Sacramento summers can get pretty hot so my summer wardrobe has mainly consisted of skirts, fun tops, and strappy heels so that I can stay somewhat cool during these hot months! I love trying new shapes and this trumpet skirt is totally new to me, I have nothing like it. I love that this fabric is super thick but stretchy at the same time, it helps to keep its shape close to your body which is ultra flattering!
Do you know those pieces of clothing where you try them on, fall in love, and want to just buy every piece in every print they offer? That is how I feel about this perfect summer maxi wrap dress. This is a true wrap with an adorable ruffle detail along the bottom of the skirt and fluttery sleeves, great details that really make it different from other plain maxi dresses! Like everything else from Love Kuza it is made of quality material that lasts forever! This is a piece that you will have for a long time and goes with everything. I have been wearing it to work a lot recently because it is dressy while still being extremely comfortable, you can’t go wrong! You can always dress it up and make it look different when you switch the heels up for wedges or something with a pop of color and when you change up the accessories!
I have linked the dress that I am wearing below as well as images of other things that I am LOVING right now on their site that you can check out too!
Some pieces I am LOVING from them that are perfect for summer and expanding your closet!
Even when it is raining in Sacramento it is still warm and my favorite place to be! This was my #sundaybest for church and when we got out it was totally pouring rain, but that was not going to stop us from getting pictures of this look! So under the overpass was the only dry place we could go to and still be able to find that little bit of light that we needed. Nothing was stopping me from capturing this bell sleeve look!
I am a total skirt and blouse kind of girl, especially when the blouse is so fun like this one is! Who doesn’t like to mix it up a little and find something that is super different from everything else in their closet? I know that I do and I love the idea of being able to brand out from my comfort zone! This blouse is a perfect piece that goes with everything. I love that it is this cropped length because it pairs perfectly with a high waisted pencil skirt like this one. You can never go wrong with that combo! I even like to switch the skirt out for a pair of cute cut off jeans. Or some distressed shorts. Really the possibilities are endless! I can’t tell you how many compliments I get it on it when I wear it out, it has been a huge hit.
I also have been really working to build up my jewelry collection with pieces that I can wear all the time. This neck party that I have been rocking has not come off since I have gotten the pieces! Chokers are great for layering and keeping on all the time! You really don’t need to add anything else, the delicate gold details speak for themselves.
Only a short time until graduation! I still can not believe that I am almost done with college! I am so excited to move back to California and never have to look at another homework assignment again! But let me tell you, college went by so much quicker than high school, it’s crazy to me. Now I just have to get through finals week and finish packing up our apartment since we move the morning after we graduate! And pick out a cute graduation outfit 😉
I have really been trying to boost up my collection of dresses for spring because I feel like my closet is lacking a little bit in that area. I love being able to throw a cute dress on with some heels and call it good! It makes getting ready so much easier and quicker! This dress is a new favorite of mine because it is unlike anything else that I have in my closet. I love the nude color and that it is so flowy. Such a great piece to have in your closet for when it gets warmer! I added these fun cage heels and a pop of pink with my favorite Rebecca Minkoff purse. Can you tell I am excited for summer?! Now all I need is a good tan!
Even though there is still snow on the ground it is slowly getting warmer, which makes me a happy girl! It also means that I have been building up my warm weather wardrobe and checking out all of the trends for this spring. Spring trends to me are all about having feminine cuts and colors.
With every season you need great transition pieces to get you through those times where the weather is a little uncertain about whether it wants to be warm or cold. In Idaho, February and March are the most uncertain months when it comes to the weather because it can’t decide if it wants to be Spring or Winter anymore. So I need cute pieces like this that I can wear for both!
I LOVE Valentines Day and I love being able to dress up! For this Valentine’s Day I have created three different looks, one red, one pink, and one casual, and three different hair and make up looks to go with them! I had so much fun creating these looks and hope that you can get a little fashion and beauty inspiration to create your own Valentine’s Day look that works for you! This is a three part blog post so you can go check out the other two posts for more looks! This look is, obviously, the red look. I have worn this before, I know, but it is my favorite! I love wearing all red because it is so bold and stands out a ton. It doesn’t hurt that it is extremely comfy too 😉 I went with a classic red lip with a soft brown eye look to match. I didn’t want to take away from the bold look of the jumpsuit so I kept the make up simple! For a better look at the make up and to see a step by step of how I created it, you can scroll down below!
