Happy Monday! Anyone else get out today and watch the eclipse?? We all were able to take a look today at work and it was cooler than I expected! I was waiting for the sun to be fully covered and then realized that we in Sacramento were not going to have that happen for us…oh well!
Sacramento summers can get pretty hot so my summer wardrobe has mainly consisted of skirts, fun tops, and strappy heels so that I can stay somewhat cool during these hot months! I love trying new shapes and this trumpet skirt is totally new to me, I have nothing like it. I love that this fabric is super thick but stretchy at the same time, it helps to keep its shape close to your body which is ultra flattering!
And I am back! Graduating, moving, starting my new job, and moving again has made for a crazy life lately and I have let my blogging slack because of it. But I am back and ready to keep up with posting! What better way to kick off from my break then with this gorgeous red dress! I don’t think it is any secret that I love the color red and that I don’t mind standing out. This dress is such a perfect special occasion dress because it is made of great, thick material and can be dressed up so easily.
Even though it is Spring my love for all black will never die! Or in my case all black with some awesome dark grey leggings. Sometimes you just have to do you even if it is all black in Spring. Rexburg hasn’t decided if it wants to be winter or spring yet so this outfit was so appropriate for our weekend date night!
I have really been trying to boost up my collection of dresses for spring because I feel like my closet is lacking a little bit in that area. I love being able to throw a cute dress on with some heels and call it good! It makes getting ready so much easier and quicker! This dress is a new favorite of mine because it is unlike anything else that I have in my closet. I love the nude color and that it is so flowy. Such a great piece to have in your closet for when it gets warmer! I added these fun cage heels and a pop of pink with my favorite Rebecca Minkoff purse. Can you tell I am excited for summer?! Now all I need is a good tan!
Even though there is still snow on the ground it is slowly getting warmer, which makes me a happy girl! It also means that I have been building up my warm weather wardrobe and checking out all of the trends for this spring. Spring trends to me are all about having feminine cuts and colors.
With every season you need great transition pieces to get you through those times where the weather is a little uncertain about whether it wants to be warm or cold. In Idaho, February and March are the most uncertain months when it comes to the weather because it can’t decide if it wants to be Spring or Winter anymore. So I need cute pieces like this that I can wear for both!
Can anyone else tell that I am a little obsessed with this body suit? I feel like I wear it every other day, its so great! I am a girl who could wear all black all day, everyday, I think that about half my closet consists of only black clothes. But I wanted to break that up a little with something that would turn more of a bland all black outfit into something a little more trendy and unique! I have seen so many of these cute suede mini skirts and needed to try it for myself! Since I don’t wear mini skirts I thought it went perfectly with a pair of soft leggings and, of course, my favorite bodysuit. This skirt is super soft and I love the button detailing down the front! It is a super easy piece that you can throw on with any look to spice it up. I also still am obsessed with choker so I had to add my favorite one on with this look 😉
Black and burgundy has to be one of my favorite color combinations of all time. I love how they both are dark (which matches my winter mood haha!) but the burgundy just adds such a richness that pairs together so well with the black! Plus, who doesn’t love a good LBD, everyone needs one. This one is a body-con dress which I love so much as well, it just looks so good with everything!
