Drugstore Brand Review: No7

I feel like it has been forever since I have posted! It feels good to be getting articles up again! Today’s review is on N07, a brand that has recently been promoted by top bloggers like Cara Loren and Amber Fillerup.  I love a good deal and so I am always down to test out drug store brands to see if they hold up to their claims of being great! So keep reading to hear if No7 holds up to the praise that some of my favorite blogger gave them.

Stay Perfect Foundation

This is the foundation that Amber Fillerup of Barefoot Blonde was promoting and she has perfect skin ALWAYS (jealous) and so I knew that I had to try this foundation out to see if it was as good as she said it was.  The first thing that I noticed is that it was kind of hard to color match.  I had four different colors that I tested and they all looked grey when I put them on the back of my hand. But once I experimented I found that mixing a couple colors worked best for my skin! I applied it with my Morphe 439 brush (my favorite for any kind of foundation!) after prepping my skin with primer.  It goes on really smooth, I did find that I had to spend a little more time really working it into my skin so that it applied evenly. Once it went on though it looked great! It was heavier than other foundations but it was a true liquid, just a little on the thicker side.  Sometimes I feel like liquid foundation can feel a little slimy or sticky but this one dried pretty quickly and once it was set it stayed on all day.  I don’t ever touch up and don’t like having to touch up and this foundation stayed put all day. For a drugstore foundation I give it an 7/10 just because the color matching was tough and the price is high for a drug store foundation.

Powder Blush

I never put on makeup without blush because my face feels naked without it. I know that it is really in right now to just use bronzer and highlight for that natural glow but blush just brightens my face up and I feel like everything looks better when it is applied. These are powder blushes and SO SO SO pigmented! The red is super red and a little goes a looooong way with these. It also has vitamin E that helps to moisturize your skin and leave it glowing, which is something that I could always use more of. 10/10 for this blush! It applied like a dream and is gorgeous on!

While these lippies may not be as long lasting as other lipsticks they make up for it in being super pigmented and really moisturizing too! It is formulated with things like Pro-Vitamin B5, Glycerin, Lanolin, and Sodium Hyaluronate that all help to nourish your lips (which I need big time). I love these colors and they stay on pretty well for being a normal lipstick formula. I give them an 8/10 for amazing color and price but they don’t get a full 10 because they aren’t as long lasting.
