Funky Leggings: How to Wear A Wild Print And Rock It

January 27, 2017

If you knew my mom you would know that she loves bold and unique pieces that really stand out against what everyone else is wearing. And she always looks amazing, I am jealous of her ability to pair anything together and look great! For Christmas this past year she gave my sister and I the most amazing leggings that are so funky and fun! She loves skulls so naturally along with a fun striped pair of leggings, I get these cool skull ones from her. These helped me to step out of my comfort zone and try something super new! I wore these to a late lunch with Houston and when we were leaving someone was telling their family to look at my skull leggings, so if you want a statement piece people are going to notice then these are for you!

When you are wearing a really unique pattern it is super important to off set it with other pieces that are more conservative and help to enhance the look. I love this draped front sweater from The Shopping bag, it is the softest thing ever and so fun to wear! It really helps to add to the outfit without adding too much since you already have a ton going on with these leggings. Sometimes too much really is just too much! A little modesty tip: stick a safety pin (or bobby pin in my case) in the front so that the draping of the shirt doesn’t go too low! A super quick fix that doesn’t require adding another layer of clothes with an undershirt.

I really struggled to find which shoes to wear with these, regular booties were too chunky, and other heels just did not hold their own. These cagey heels are perfect because they add the right amount of girly to the look while still being tough. Shoes help to tie a look together, so make sure that they enhance the look instead of take away from it!

What edgy and interesting pieces are you ready to rock? Check out the details on this look below!
